The solid green areas on the map above depict states and regions where 511 services were active as of August 1, 2005. The states in yellow had applied to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for 511 planning assistance grants. The most recent launch was the Rhode Island statewide system.

More information about launches that have already take place or are planned is provided in the Timeline of 511 Services In Operation. The timeline also includes contact information for the public information officers and technical project managers for each deployment.
